Qualified Carpenter — Commercial & High-End Residential

Open full-time Qualified Carpenter vacancy for commercial and high-end residential projects in Christchurch Central City, Christchurch 8011, Canterbury, New Zealand.

The role covers framing, interior and exterior fit-out, cladding, finishing work, reading plans, accurate measuring and cutting, and coordination with site teams.

Pay is NZ$38–45 gross per hour depending on verified experience and trade capability. The standard schedule is approximately 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with site hours confirmed before placement.

Applicants should have at least three years of relevant carpentry experience, be able to work safely and independently, read drawings, use carpentry tools correctly, and provide verifiable work references. A recognised carpentry qualification is preferred. Reliable transport and basic hand tools are preferred.

This is an on-site role. Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand or obtain the required work rights before starting. Visa sponsorship is not promised by this vacancy.
