Steel Fixer

MaViAl Sp. z o.o. is recruiting experienced Steel Fixers for a temporary full-time long-term assignment at the published reporting location of Brightside Lane, Sheffield, South Yorkshire S9 2RX. The role includes reading reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules, checking bar marks and diameters, cutting, bending, positioning and tying reinforcement steel, installing mesh, cages, laps, couplers, spacers and chairs, maintaining specified concrete cover, coordinating with formwork and concrete teams, completing pre-pour checks, protecting exposed ends, controlling lifting and manual-handling risks, and maintaining safe access and housekeeping. The gross hourly rate is £24.00 for 50 paid hours per week. The normal site day is 07:30–18:00 with 10 paid hours; weekend work and temporary programme changes are confirmed in writing. Applicants must hold a current Blue CSCS Skilled Worker Card for the relevant occupation, normally supported by a construction-related NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or approved equivalent, and must have passed the appropriate CITB Health, Safety and Environment test within the required validity period. At least two years of steel-fixing experience, full PPE, reliable references, English for safety communication and confident use of drawings and bar bending schedules are required. Applicants must already hold valid permission to work in the United Kingdom before travel. This MaViAl assignment does not provide UK visa sponsorship. Steel fixers and underpinners are included under SOC 5319 on the Temporary Shortage List, but sponsorship in another job requires a licensed sponsor and compliance with all current salary and immigration rules. Where the legal posting conditions are met, a Polish PDA1/A1 may confirm continued Polish social-security coverage; it is not a UK visa, right-to-work document, CSCS card, qualification or site authorisation.
