Road Construction Worker

Open full-time Road Construction Worker vacancy in Edmonton, Alberta with MaViAl Sp. z o.o. Base pay is CAD 28.00 gross per hour.The role supports active road and civil construction: loading and moving materials; grading and ground preparation; spreading, paving and raking asphalt; mixing, pouring and spreading concrete or asphalt materials; setting up barricades and safe work zones; supporting crews around rollers, pavers and other equipment; and maintaining site housekeeping.Previous road, asphalt, concrete or general construction experience is useful. Job Bank classifies this work under NOC 75110. On-the-job training may be provided. Workers assigned to traffic-control duties may need a traffic-control certificate, and workers assigned to rigging/slinging may need the applicable rigging training or certificate.Base schedule is 35 hours per week. Alberta overtime rules generally apply after 8 hours in a day or 44 hours in a week, using the greater number of overtime hours, and overtime is normally at least 1.5 times the regular wage, subject to applicable exceptions or agreements.Work location: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
