Laundry Attendant

MaViAl Sp. z o.o. is recruiting for an open Laundry Attendant vacancy in Calgary, Alberta, Canada (NOC 65320).Pay: CAD 18.00 gross per hour. Exact weekly hours and shift pattern are specified in the written offer; laundry operations may include day, evening or weekend shifts.Responsibilities: sort laundry and linens; operate washing and drying machines; load and unload laundry equipment; inspect finished items; fold, stack, assemble and prepare clean items for use or distribution; iron or press items where required; maintain clean/soiled separation and a safe work area.Requirements: reliability, ability to follow laundry and safety procedures, safe use of detergents and equipment, physical ability for standing and repetitive handling, and workplace English sufficient for instructions and safety communication. Some secondary school education is normally required. Four to eight weeks of on-the-job training are commonly provided for the occupation.Temporary assignment from Poland: where the statutory and contractual conditions are met, a MaViAl Sp. z o.o. employee may be temporarily assigned from Poland to Canada. Under the Poland–Canada social-security agreement, Polish coverage may continue for up to 60 months and the applicable certificate is PL-CAN01. The current ZUS application is UM-CAN01.
