Pharmaceutical Process Equipment and Utilities Maintenance Technician

MaViAl Sp. z o.o. is recruiting a Pharmaceutical Process Equipment and Utilities Maintenance Technician for a confidential life-science manufacturing employer in the Gärtuna industrial area of Södertälje, Sweden.

The position is full-time and on-site near Gärtunavägen, 152 57 Södertälje. The listed base rate is 265 SEK gross per hour for 40 hours per week. Work follows rotating day and evening shifts, with planned night or weekend maintenance windows during shutdowns, qualification work and commissioning.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, maintain and troubleshoot pharmaceutical process equipment, hygienic pumps, valves, agitators, heat exchangers, dosing and transfer systems, skids and supporting production utilities.
• Diagnose faults involving sensors, transmitters, control valves, motor drives, PLC or SCADA interfaces, alarms, interlocks and equipment control sequences.
• Support preventive maintenance, calibration, functional testing, controlled component replacement, restart verification and planned equipment shutdowns.
• Read P&IDs, electrical drawings, equipment manuals, maintenance histories, alarm records and GMP-controlled technical instructions.
• Document completed work, measurements, test evidence, replaced parts, fault causes, deviations and follow-up actions in accordance with site procedures.
• Follow permit-to-work, lockout and tagout, hygiene, contamination-control, gowning and process-safety requirements.

Qualifications:

• Relevant vocational or technical education in industrial maintenance, automation, mechatronics, process technology, electrical engineering or a related field, or equivalent documented experience.
• At least three years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food, chemical, medical-device or another regulated process-manufacturing environment.
• Practical competence with process equipment, industrial utilities, technical drawings, structured fault finding and controlled maintenance documentation.
• English at B2 level or higher. Swedish is an advantage.
