Airport Ground Support Equipment and EV Systems Technician

MaViAl Sp. z o.o. is recruiting an Airport Ground Support Equipment and EV Systems Technician for a confidential aviation and ground-services employer at Åre Östersund Airport, Sweden.

The position is full-time and on-site at Frösö Flygstation 105, 832 96 Frösön. The listed base rate is 250 SEK gross per hour for 40 hours per week. Work follows a rotating day and evening roster, with planned early-morning or late-evening maintenance windows when required by airport operations.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, service and troubleshoot baggage tractors, belt loaders, tow equipment, electric utility vehicles, ground power units, chargers and related airport support equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical and charging-system faults using approved test equipment, wiring diagrams, service manuals and fault histories.
• Perform preventive maintenance, safety checks, adjustments, controlled component replacement, lubrication, functional testing and documented repairs.
• Verify brakes, steering, lights, emergency stops, interlocks, guards, tyres, batteries, charging connections and other safety-critical functions before equipment returns to service.
• Record inspections, measurements, fault causes, replaced parts, test results, downtime and follow-up actions in the maintenance system.

Qualifications:

• Relevant vocational or technical education in vehicle technology, electromechanics, industrial electricity, mechatronics, maintenance engineering or a related field, or equivalent documented experience.
• At least three years of relevant experience with ground support equipment, electric fleet vehicles, forklifts, industrial machinery, heavy vehicles or comparable maintenance systems.
• Category B driving licence, English at B1 level or higher, and the ability to meet airport security and airside access requirements. Swedish is an advantage.
