Inland Port Crane and Conveyor Maintenance Technician

MaViAl Sp. z o.o. is recruiting an Inland Port Crane and Conveyor Maintenance Technician for a full-time on-site position in Mertert, Luxembourg. The end employer is confidential during the initial application stage.

The technician will inspect and maintain mobile or gantry cranes, conveyors, hoists and related bulk-handling equipment; diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults; service brakes, drives, bearings, gearboxes, wire ropes, drums, hoses and lubrication systems; and test limit switches, emergency stops, interlocks and overload protection under approved procedures.

Work includes applying lockout and tagout, using work permits, recording measurements and defects, updating preventive-maintenance and repair orders, preparing parts lists, coordinating planned downtime with operations and returning equipment to service only after authorised functional checks. Safety devices must never be bypassed.

The base rate is €30.00 gross per hour for 40 paid hours per week. Exact start and end times, any shift rotation, call-out duty, overtime and applicable compensation must be confirmed in the written offer and contract.

Applicants need a recognised qualification in industrial mechanics, electromechanics, electrical maintenance or a related trade; at least four years of industrial maintenance experience, including work on cranes, hoists, conveyors or comparable heavy equipment; working English; and practical knowledge of electrical and hydraulic diagrams, fault finding, lifting-equipment safety, work at height, lockout and tagout and maintenance records. French, German or Luxembourgish is an advantage.
