Railway Track Maintenance Technician

The technician will inspect rails, sleepers, fastenings, ballast and drainage; measure track condition; support planned renewals and emergency repairs; operate approved hand and small powered tools; maintain work records; and protect the work zone under railway safety procedures.

The base rate is €30.50 gross per hour for an average of 40 hours per week. Work includes planned day, night and weekend engineering windows. Exact shifts, premiums, breaks and overtime rules are confirmed in the written offer and contract.

Applicants need a vocational qualification in railway infrastructure, civil engineering, construction plant or mechanical maintenance; at least three years of track, heavy civil or comparable infrastructure experience; working English; measurement and tool skills; and disciplined safe-working practice near operational transport infrastructure.
