Security and Safety Manager

Open full-time Security and Safety Manager vacancy in Downtown Tampa, Florida 33602. The role manages daily security and safety functions to protect property assets, employees and guests, while maintaining required logs, certifications and documentation, training staff in emergency procedures and supporting accident and fire prevention.

Responsibilities include administering fire-prevention and emergency-preparedness programs; maintaining OSHA, injury, accident, security, key-control and daily-log documentation; conducting hazard and risk assessments; performing safety audits and incident tracking; checking CCTV, alarmed doors and duress alarms; monitoring unusual activity; assisting with investigations, patrols, emergency response, shipping and receiving security, electronic key systems and first-aid programs; enforcing safety procedures; resolving complaints and conflicts; and maintaining liaison with local law enforcement and emergency services.

Candidate profile: either a high school diploma or GED plus 3 years of experience in security, loss prevention or a related professional area, or a 2-year degree in Criminal Justice or a related major plus 1 year of experience in security, loss prevention or a related professional area.
