Role overview
MaViAl Sp. z o.o. is recruiting a Straddle Carrier Electrical Service Technician for an on-site assignment at a container terminal on Rotterdam Maasvlakte. The technician maintains, diagnoses and repairs the electrical and control systems of straddle carriers used in 24/7 container handling.
Key responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel-electric and hybrid straddle carriers.
- Diagnose faults in drives, PLC controls, CAN-bus networks, sensors, safety circuits and power distribution.
- Inspect and test steering, braking, spreader, lifting and operator-safety systems.
- Document work orders, measurements, replaced components and follow-up actions.
- Support safe equipment release and technical improvements with operations and engineering.
Requirements
- Technical vocational education in electrical engineering, mechatronics or industrial automation.
- At least three years of service or maintenance experience with mobile, port or industrial equipment.
- Ability to read electrical diagrams and use diagnostic and measuring tools.
- Professional English, driving licence B and permission to work in the Netherlands.
