Process Analyzer and Emissions Monitoring Technician

MaViAl Sp. z o.o. is recruiting an experienced Process Analyzer and Emissions Monitoring Technician for full-time, on-site work coordinated from Contrada Targia, 96100 Siracusa, Sicily, Italy.

Main responsibilities:

• Inspect, commission and maintain fixed process gas analyzers and continuous emissions monitoring systems for industrial plant service.
• Perform zero, span, linearity, drift and response-time checks with certified calibration gas standards and approved procedures.
• Examine analyzer shelters, probes, heated sample lines, filters, pumps, coolers, regulators, flow devices and condensate drains.
• Troubleshoot sample leaks, moisture ingress, blocked lines, unstable flow, pressure faults, cabinet-temperature alarms and electrical defects.
• Verify oxygen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides, sulphur dioxide and opacity or dust measurement channels where installed.
• Test 4–20 mA signals, relays, digital inputs and outputs, serial communications and analyzer interfaces to PLC or DCS control systems.
• Apply permit-to-work, gas-testing, lockout and tagout, hazardous-area and compressed-gas controls required by the assigned facility.
• Record readings, calibration results, gas-cylinder traceability, alarm tests, defects, corrective actions and outstanding work.

Requirements:

• At least five years of instrumentation, analyzer maintenance or analyzer commissioning experience in an industrial process environment.
• Technical diploma or vocational qualification in instrumentation, electronics, automation or electrical engineering.
• Practical experience with process gas analyzers, emissions monitoring equipment and sample-conditioning systems.
• Competence using certified calibration gases, electrical test instruments and pressure, flow and temperature measurement tools.
• Ability to read P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring drawings, instrument data sheets and vendor manuals.
• Knowledge of 4–20 mA loops, relays, digital I/O, PLC or DCS interfaces and industrial communications.
• Current safety training and any qualification or authorisation required for the assigned hazardous-area or electrical tasks in Italy.
• Driving licence valid in Italy and sufficient English for technical manuals, reports and safety communication.
