Cheese Ripening Warehouse Automation Technician

MaViAl Sp. z o.o. is recruiting an experienced Cheese Ripening Warehouse Automation Technician for full-time, on-site mechatronic maintenance in the Mancasale industrial area of Reggio Emilia, Emilia-Romagna, Italy.

Main responsibilities:

• Maintain automated cheese-wheel handling, turning, brushing, conveyor and high-bay storage equipment used in climate-controlled maturation warehouses.
• Diagnose PLC inputs and outputs, variable-frequency drives, motors, encoders, proximity sensors, photoelectric sensors, safety relays and pneumatic actuators.
• Complete planned inspections, cleaning, lubrication, adjustment, wear-part replacement and documented functional tests.
• Respond to equipment stops, make machinery safe, identify the failure mode and restore operation under authorised procedures.
• Verify guards, interlocks, emergency stops, safe-speed functions and controlled restart conditions after maintenance.
• Record faults, replaced parts, PLC observations, downtime, corrective actions and follow-up recommendations in the maintenance system.

Requirements:

• At least four years of industrial automation or electromechanical maintenance experience in food, beverage, dairy, logistics or comparable automated production.
• Technical diploma or vocational qualification in mechatronics, industrial automation, electrical maintenance or a related discipline.
• Practical PLC diagnostic skills and experience with drives, three-phase motors, sensors, encoders, safety circuits and pneumatics.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, trace signals, use test instruments and work under lockout and safe-isolation controls.
• Understanding of hygienic maintenance, contamination prevention and controlled work in food-storage environments.
• Sufficient English for manuals, alarm histories and technical records; legal eligibility to work in Italy before employment begins.

The base rate is €24 gross per hour for 40 hours per week. The reporting area is an assigned automated maturation warehouse in the Mancasale industrial district, 42124 Reggio Emilia. Applications are accepted only through the official OpeningsHub resume form.
