Rope Access NDT Level II Technician

MaViAl Sp. z o.o. is recruiting an experienced Rope Access NDT Level II Technician for full-time, on-site structural inspection work coordinated from the Porto Corsini area of the Port of Ravenna, Emilia-Romagna, Italy.

Main responsibilities:

• Perform visual testing, ultrasonic thickness measurement, magnetic-particle testing and liquid-penetrant testing within the methods covered by current Level II certification.
• Inspect welded connections, plate, pipework, lifting points and structural components in fabrication-yard, quayside and controlled offshore work packages.
• Set up instruments, complete sensitivity and calibration checks, mark indications and record traceable inspection data.
• Use approved rope-access systems, pre-use checks, exclusion zones and rescue arrangements for difficult-access inspection points.
• Interpret results within written procedures, issue field reports and escalate rejectable or uncertain indications to the responsible Level III or inspection coordinator.

Requirements:

• At least four years of industrial NDT experience, including independent Level II inspection duties.
• Current ISO 9712 or equivalent Level II certification in ultrasonic testing and at least one surface method such as magnetic-particle or liquid-penetrant testing.
• Current IRATA or equivalent Level 2 rope-access qualification with a valid logbook and medical fitness for work at height.
• Practical knowledge of weld inspection, thickness surveys, equipment calibration, traceability, permit-to-work controls and technical reporting.
• Driving licence valid in Italy and sufficient English for procedures, reports and safety communication.

The base rate is €25 gross per hour for 40 hours per week. The reporting location is an assigned inspection base in the Porto Corsini port area of Ravenna; any offshore mobilisation is separately planned and authorised. Applications are accepted only through the official OpeningsHub resume form.
