Coastal Water Quality Monitoring Technician

MaViAl Sp. z o.o. is recruiting an experienced Coastal Water Quality Monitoring Technician for full-time, field-based work in Pescara, Abruzzo, Italy.

Main responsibilities:

• Collect coastal, bathing-water, river-mouth and port-area samples at approved monitoring points.
• Measure temperature, pH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, salinity and field conditions using calibrated equipment.
• Preserve, label and transport samples under documented chain-of-custody and holding-time requirements.
• Record weather, sea state, coordinates, observations, instrument checks and field deviations.
• Prepare validated field records, sampling summaries and data packages for laboratory and technical review.

Requirements:

• At least three years of environmental sampling, water-quality monitoring or comparable fieldwork experience.
• Degree or technical qualification in environmental science, chemistry, biology, hydrography or a related discipline.
• Practical knowledge of water sampling, multiparameter probes, calibration, sample preservation and chain of custody.
• Ability to work safely near shorelines, rivers and port areas in changing weather conditions.
• Driving licence valid in Italy and sufficient English for technical documentation and safety communication.

The base rate is €21 gross per hour for 40 hours per week. Work is coordinated from an assigned environmental monitoring base in Pescara. Applications are accepted only through the official OpeningsHub resume form.
