Passenger Vessel Captain

MaViAl Sp. z o.o. is recruiting a full-time Passenger Vessel Captain for an excursion vessel based in Marseille, France.

The one-month temporary position pays €15.40–€18.00 gross per hour for 35 daytime hours per week. The vessel carries up to 12 passengers.

Responsibilities:

• Command and manoeuvre the vessel safely, including port operations.
• Check safety equipment and maintain safe operating procedures.
• Prepare voyage information covering schedules, distances and weather.
• Perform light mechanical maintenance to support reliable vessel operation.
• Welcome passengers and provide professional on-board service in English.
• Keep the vessel clean, orderly and ready for passenger excursions.

Requirements:

• A valid Captain 200 certificate.
• At least 12 months of confirmed navigation experience.
• Professional English for communication with international passengers.
• Ability to check safety systems and plan basic maintenance operations.
• Strong responsibility, customer service, teamwork and independent-working skills.
• Legal eligibility to work in France before employment begins.
