Our Restaurant:We are the Indian restaurant Uit India and are looking for 4 Independent working Chef-I to strengthen our kitchen team. At Uit India, we bring an unforgettable culinary journey through Indian cuisine. Our mission is to bring the authentic flavors and traditions of various regions of India to our customer’s table. You will assist in preparing dishes and work closely with our kitchen team. You can work both independently and as part of a team, and you feel responsible for a clean and organized kitchen. Our restaurant is located at Houttil 46-B, 1811JN Alkmaar.
Role: Independent working Chef -I
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:Independently prepare lunch and dinner dishesCarry out mise en place and other preparatory tasks (cutting, mixing, portioning)Ensure the quality, taste, and presentation of all dishesApply and comply with HACCP and safety regulationsManage inventory: ordering, receiving, and checking productsClean and maintain kitchen equipment and workspacesContribute ideas for recipes, menu updates, and more efficient processesSupervising compliance with regulations and the work of the assistants.
We Are Looking for Someone Who:Holds an MBO level 3 diploma of work and thinking level MBO [contact hidden] strong technical culinary knowledge and skillsShows initiative and can work independentlyCan handle stress and peak busy periods effectivelyFunctions well within the dynamics of a restaurant teamSpeaks Dutch or EnglishIs enthusiastic, dedicated, and eager to learn
